BatchBuddy free trial: what its pages promise
BatchBuddy has a 14-day free trial, and its home page says no credit card is required. It is a trial, not a free plan.

Try BatchBuddy →Which plan the trial covers
BatchBuddy's own pages name different plans for the trial. The home page says all plans include it, the FAQ says "Try the Formulator plan free for 14 days," and the trust center offers a "fully-featured Enterprise trial." Formulator, an individual workspace, is $149 a month, billed monthly, or $1,490 a year, billed annually. Read the sign-up screen for the plan you start on.
None of these lines says the trial holds electronic batch records (EBR), batch records kept as step-by-step electronic forms that stop an operator from skipping a step. BatchBuddy's plan cards put them on Manufacturer, up to 15 members at $749 a month, billed monthly, and other vendor pages differ; BatchBuddy pricing sets out where.
What happens at day 14
The FAQ says that when a trial ends without a subscription, the account is paused, the data is retained and you can reactivate at any time. Read the sign-up screen for what happens next.
What to load during the 14 days
The FAQ says you can upload "your existing ingredient lists or formulas as CSV files" and that every import is logged to the audit trail. Take a cosmetics maker with 20 SKUs and one formula each: that is 20 of the up to 100 formulations a Formulator plan holds. The FAQ's import list names formulations, ingredients and suppliers, not past batch records. A live walkthrough can be requested at any time during the trial.
Refunds once you pay
BatchBuddy's terms say fees are non-refundable except as required by law and that termination earns no refund of prepaid fees, while its FAQ lists "Prorated Refunds" that turn out to mean access until the billing period ends, so plan on no refund.
The pages show no money-back guarantee. To stop a renewal, cancel in account settings before the renewal date; fees exclude taxes.
Free plans and other trials: Katana and QT9
BatchBuddy has no free plan. Katana has a Free plan for up to 30 SKUs at no cost, but none of the Katana pages read names a batch production record. QT9 offers a free trial of its quality management system (QMS) or its ERP with no credit card and states no length. InstantGMP, Wherefour and BatchMaster lead to a demo or a quote.
Pick BatchBuddy for a 14-day trial on a printed plan price. Pick Katana to stay free on lot and expiry tracking. Pick QT9 to trial a quality system. BatchBuddy review covers the limits of BatchBuddy itself.
